MARTA hosts national voter registration effort
Event Planned at Five Points for National Voter Registration Day
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will host a voter registration effort as part of National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Five Points Station.
The non-partisan event, held on the concourse level of the station, is designed to ease the voter registration process. Activities will not endorse any campaign or candidate.
Volunteers from local non-profit organizations will have paperwork for those interested in registering to vote. Please bring your state identification card or state issued driver’s license or be prepared to give the last four digits of your social security number.
First observed in 2012, National Voter Registration Day has been responsible for registering more than two million Americans to vote.
