MARTA RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING MARKETING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) was recognized for outstanding achievement in Marketing and Customer Care at the recent American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Marketing and Communications conference in San Francisco.
MARTA Senior Director of Marketing Jennifer Jinadu-Wright accepted two APTA AdWheel awards on behalf of her department. MARTA’s Marketing team took home first place for Best Educational Partnership for MARTA’s popular Hackathon series where volunteers brainstorm ideas to improve the rider experience. MARTA also took top honors for Best Special Event to Increase Ridership for its 5th Annual “Dump the Pump” scavenger hunt. This event challenges drivers to get out of their cars and take public transportation.
A highlight of this year’s conference was the recognition of MARTA’s outstanding customer service. Customer Care Representative Mallory Wright won APTA’s 2018 Call Center Challenge by deftly handling several mock customer phone calls during a live contest. Customer care representatives from 50 transit agencies throughout the country compete for this coveted award that has become a must-see part of the three-day conference. Ms. Wright has worked in MARTA’s Customer Care Center since 2014, answering questions, giving service information, and providing support to the Authority’s loyal riders.
