ULI Atlanta Celebrates the Communities We Build
Last Thursday, a crowd of over 400 of Atlanta’s top real estate professionals joined ULI Atlanta to celebrate leadership in the responsible use of land and our ‘lovable city’ at the 23rd Annual Awards for Excellence dinner. ULI Atlanta would like to congratulate the development team of FlatironCity for being awarded the prestigious 2017 Project of the Year. With over 20 projects submitted, 4 projects were selected as finalists, including Parsons Alley in Duluth, which earned an award for Development of Excellence. Additional awards given last Thursday included the “Building Healthy Places Award” to Relay Bikeshare; and the “Social Innovation Award” to Station Soccer.
As Atlanta continues to grow, let us embrace the challenges that are to come and remain mindful of the impact we have throughout the communities we build as we seek a more livable and lovable city. In 2018, ULI Atlanta will be in search for the next Development of Excellence – does your project have what it takes?
The ULI Awards for Excellence program recognizes an outstanding real estate development project or initiative that exemplifies the ULI’s mission of providing leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities. Eligible nominee projects must have been completed during the past three years, must be in stabilized operation, exemplify a sustainable model and have achieved market acceptance. The ULI Awards for Excellence program identifies and promotes best practices in all types of real estate development. The awards recognize the full development process of a project—construction, economic viability, marketing, and management—as well as design.
