By Heather Turney, Women’s Leadership Forum Chair, The Junior League of Atlanta Inc.
The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. With our mission in mind, the JLA values continuous learning and believes in providing opportunities to educate and empower women across Atlanta in a variety of opportunities, including our one-day conference each year.
The 5th Annual Women’s Leadership Forum will be held April 26 at the Loudermilk Conference Center in downtown Atlanta. The event is a full day of development, aiming to provide powerful insights from well-known speakers as well as hands-on experiences for our attendees to connect and turn learning into action.
This year’s forum, centered around the concept of Elevating the Whole Woman will inspire women to set new, personalized goals for themselves – whether at home, in their career, within themselves or their community. Embracing the theme; elevate evokes the need to be centered and grounded in one’s self in order to intentionally design growth. To elevate from who we are today towards the version of ourselves that we aim to become.
Attendees can expect an amazing lineup of women (and a few men!) from across all sectors and backgrounds, who will tell their personal stories, share insights and inspire each attendee to take a single step towards elevating their day-to-day. Speakers include: Robbin Jorgensen of Women Igniting Change, Jenny Levison, CEO of Souper Jenny and Yolanda Owens Founder of Iwi Fresh, alongside representatives from Google, SunTrust Bank, Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines. See the full list of speakers here!
Our powerhouse lineup of speakers will share insights across sessions such as Securing Financial Freedom, Making Space for Women, Leveraging Your Network, Advocating for Your Passions, Turning Your Side Hustle into Your Full Time Job, Vulnerable Leadership, Negotiating Your Value and Work/Life Harmony for Mothers – in addition to many more! In total, the Women’s Leadership Forum will highlight 48 speakers across 20 sessions, panels and breakout workshops.
